Josh's 24th Birthday

On November 8 my sweetie turned 24. We went to dinner with our softball team since there wasn't a game scheduled. Josh chose Beto's, a cozy little Latin American restaurant. (they have delicious empanadas!) Here's some photos from the night:

Josh's Lil Mamma

Our Lil Mamma, Phyllis Horstmann, went to be with Jesus on November 13th, 2010. She was in a car accident while on her way to visit Josh's Aunt. We are all pretty devastated as Lil Mamma was a prominent figure in our family.

So in her honor I'd like to share a few things about Little Mama:
-she survived breast cancer
-she was the most punctual person I know (birthday cards arrived 3 days early)
-she loved to give the most practical gifts (lap desks, snuggies, calendars...)
-even though she was small she could hold her own with her 6 Grandsons and 2 great-grandsons
-she was an awesome cook and always had food for us when we came over (and a bowl of peanut m&m's yumm!)
-she went to as many of our sporting events as possible and especially loved basketball which she played in high school.
-if you ever touched her dolls you were in MAJOR trouble (she had a room dedicated to them)
-she learned of Peyton three days before on Wednesday and was so excited to have another great grandson

We love you Lil Mamma and will always remember how special you were.
-Josh and Ashley

College Station (Saturday)

The next day we woke up early and got ready quick so we could have breakfast at one of my favorite restaurants. I hate that they only have Blue Bakers in College Station. The food is so good!

After that we went to the famous game day tent sale. He wouldn't buy this shirt, but he agreed to take a picture with it.

The night before and the morning of the game it was very cold! But by the time we arrived at the stadium it was hot. I really wanted to wear the scarf my sister knitted me! So I took a picture with it on.

We sat behind this woman at the game. Check out her nails!

I love this Aggie tradition. When we win a home game, the Freshmen Corps members chase the yell leaders on the field and carry them to the Fish Pond. (a water fountain on campus...where they throw them in)

So glad the Aggies won while we were there!

All of these pictures were taken with my 5 year old point and shoot...it's still got it! I took this as we were walking to our car. It was such a beautiful day to be in Aggieland.

College Station (Friday night)

After work on Friday Josh picked me up from work and we hit the road northeast bound for College Station. We were so excited to make our yearly trip and see our favorite player, number 47! We met up with Devin and Alex and had dinner at Wings n More.

Us before dinner (Alex got there late)

Then we met up with Adam and Kyle on the roof of the Corner bar

blurry :(

Alex had to get into costume to work the door at Gatsby's (best buds 4E)

Josh and Matt (friends from Fish Daddy's)

AXO friends Callie and Lindsey (Callie had JUST gotten engaged, can't wait to be in her wedding...9 months pregnant and all)

We had a great time on Northgate. It was funny because about half of the crowd was dressed in costumes, but we didn't feel left out. We were a little tired the next day because we didn't go to bed until 2:30 that night...my usual bedtime is 10 pm! A big thanks to Caleb for letting us stay at his house.
